Pre-Lim Task: Finished Products and Cohesion

This is my final front cover and contents page. From planning my photo shoot with my models and choosing the images to utilising the editing tools in Photoshop and playing around with the layout of the texts, I believe I have created a front cover and contents page that flows nicely. It is visable that they are from the same magazine due to the consistent colour theme, relevant references of politics related news stories, and smart links young female readers will be particularly intrigued by. I think I've achieved a professional yet youthful and fresh feel with my chosen shots, combined with a calming choice of shades that simultaneously stand out. Overall I'm very pleased with the outcome!

Pre-Lim Task: Masthead and Text Manipulation

The title of my magazine is relatively self-explanatory as it is directly correlated with the magazines theme... Statistics show that parliament is largely dominated by middle-class men, and young girls in particular belong to a somewhat dismissive culture when it comes to granting them the accessibility of education they should be entitled to. Some of the most notorious and creative  protests are the products of female intelligence, so the issue isn't that women are not interested in the first place,  but rather an inclination to not view themselves as equal to their male counterparts and therefore refusing to involve themselves. Countless petitions have been held to make politics a compulsory subject in secondary school, and supporting that campaign wholeheartedly myself, I came up with 'Engage'. We are not doing young girls justice by rejecting the reality of the gender and age discrepancies in the House of Commons, so I have hope to spread a positive message with my interpretation of the brief by promoting education and representation in politics! Here is my masthead and text manipulation:
